I've had a few a-ha moments reading these articles. I really need to seek out more information about this.

Red Family, Blue Family also read the books in the article
I'm a Negotiated Commitment person stuck in a Inherited Obligation family and environment. I think that's where a lot of my anger and resentment come from.

This article articulates my anger at the Republicans and why I'm fed up with politics. Only for me it's been even longer since the Shrub (ex-Pres Bush) was governor was Texas.

A Marriage Manifesto of Sorts Heh. Glee. Squee. I love this idea. I'll have to try it out. Bet it pisses a lot of people off. I look forward to it. Let's see how married straight people react when you don't "believe in" their relationship since they don't "believe in" same-sex marriages.

Wanna talk about/find info about board games? Try boardgamegeek.com. Appears comprehensive and awesome.

ROTFLMAO. Whatever gave these people the idea that this was a good idea to do their eyebrows?! World's worst eyebrows indeed. Why would draw on a unibrow and outline your mouth like that?!? What were these people thinking?!?

If your into urban fantasy, you may find this blog, Urban Fantasy Land,  useful. It discussed books, tv shows, and movies dealing with the subject. I'm finding books to read.

Having trouble figuring out your bra size? Try these sites: Fitting Tips (also a resource for people who sew clothes) and/or The Breast Form FAQ. I'm definitely doing this before bra shopping again. I'm tired of straps slipping down and painful bras.

For writers or anyone confused by the appropriate weight for someone's height, try here: Height/Weight Chart. Having someone 6'1" and 140 lbs is not a good idea. This chart is not completely filled in yet but it has pictures of people at their height and weight. IOW, it shows what someone who is 5'1" and 100 lbs look like, etc. Very useful. Wish it was completely filled in. Thinkin' of sending my pic in for not filled in weight/height. Found via an entry in [livejournal.com profile] kaigou 's LJ.

I like Factcheck.org. For people confused about civil unions vs. marriage.

Wanna know what botanists actually do? Careers in botany. I heart flowers and gardening. I don't know if I could be a botanist though (contemplating it). Maybe I should do Oprah's Career Course, which is supposed to help you figure out what do career wise. Heh. I'm only $20,000 in debt for 2 master degrees, which I don't think I really want. I graduated in Dec 08 with them. I'm thinking of going back to school (later--maybe in the fall) for another degree, this time in science (my first love). I have got to find a job though.

I found the website ActsofGord while I was surfing around last Friday. One word: hysterical. It's so hilarious. ROFLMAO funny. I think you have to have worked in a customer service/retail background to find it so funny. I've worked in customer service oriented jobs for all of my jobs. I encounter idiots like that all the time--I just can't do anything about it since my employer wouldn't like that. Customer is everything you know. Yeah, right. NOT. Some people have been hit with the stupid stick too many times.

I've finally got to Halloween Town! Yah! does dance of joy. It's a wonderfully atmospheric world. I love Halloween; it's my fave holiday. Sora looks so sexy in his costume. drool. Now, if only I could find the green door that leads to the Oogie Boogie boss fight, I'd be a happy camper. Last time I was this frustrated looking for a location, it was in Deep Jungle, and I'd fallen off the cliff leading to Tarzan's Home, and needed to get back up. Grrrr. I've already spent an hour or so looking for the @#$% green door. Very, very frustrating.

Currently reading: Midnight Bayou by Nora Roberts. So far I'm really liking it. It seems to a romance/re-incarnation/mystery plot set in New Orleans, Louisiana. wistful look. Mom took there for my 18th b-day when it was still legal to drink alcohol in LA at age 18. Fun. I'd love to go back there. I'd really love to go to Mardi Gras. Next year. Can't do it this year. Too much other stuff going on.
